Just days after giving his first testimony to before the House Judiciary Committee, Attorney General Jeff Sessions was caught in the footage below, making jokes about special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation. This is completely unacceptable behavior coming from the Attorney General, especially considering the Russia investigations are very real and people have been indicted by them.
Sessions was the keynote speaker at the National Lawyers Convention at Washington’s Mayflower Hotel, hosted by the conservative Federalist Society. The Right leaning crowd loved his jokes and laughed hard enough to egg Sessions on into making many jokes.
“But I just was thinking, you know, I should, I want to ask you. Is Ambassador Kislyak in the room? Before I get started,any Russians?” as the laughs became louder, Sessions asked, “Anybody been to Russia? Got a cousin in Russia?” You can see it all in the footage below.
