Ellen DeGeneres Asks Former Vice President Joe Biden To Run For President In 2020 In New Interview

Ellen DeGeneres has released a sneak preview of an upcoming episode of her show in which she strongly urged former Vice President Biden to run for President in 2020. “Just remember that’s what I would like to see,” DeGeneres told Biden after asking him about the possibility of running.

Ellen asked Biden a question about the state of the Trump administration and Biden answered that as former Vice President, he should avoid too much critique of the current administration, to which Ellen responded with, “Until you run for President in 2020” said Ellen, to thunderous applause from the audience. You can see it all in the footage below.

Biden will appear as a guest on Monday’s upcoming episode of DeGeneres’s eponymous talk show to promote his new book, “Promise me, Dad: A Year of Hope, Hardship, and Purpose,” a memoir is about his late son, Beau Biden. “I — honest to God, I haven’t made up my mind,” Biden said when talking about his 2020 prospects.

“I’ve done not a single thing to promote that or to organizationally do anything,” Biden continued, “My dad had another expression, he’d say, ‘Joey, don’t compare me to almighty, compare me to the alternative. I think the reason I am looking good now is the alternative.”

Although Joe Biden will be 79 in 2020, Trump will be 74. Concern over Biden’s age is completely valid but he seems quite sharp and up to the task. An anecdotal example is that Warren Buffet, one of the three richest people in the world, is 87 years of age and still seems sharp in interviews.
