As President Trump wraps up his first G20 Summit in Germany, he legitimately hasn’t achieved much beyond negative press. He held a suspicious private meeting with Putin, that lasted over two hours, and let his daughter Ivanka fill in for him during a meeting with G20 leaders. It comes at no surprise then, that former President Obama is making more waves in the media, with a simple set of selfie photos, taken in an airport in Alaska.
A woman named Jolene Jackinsky, spotted Obama at Anchorage International Airport and managed to take some photos with Obama and her 6 month old child. “As I got closer, I thought: Oh my God, it is Obama,” she said. Obama noticed her surprise, and then walked up to her and asked, “Who is this pretty girl?” Obama also joked with the father’s child and said, “I’m taking your baby.”
“It was only five minutes but it was a moment that will last forever,” said Jackinsky, “I think it’s unreal and pretty exciting that I get to have a picture with him and my baby. Not a lot of people get to meet him.”
These photos and story are making waves across the net, completely outshining President Trump’s visit with the 20 most powerful nations on the planet. This comes as no surprise, as what is President Trump bringing back from the summit for the American people? A now public friendship with Putin? More defiance on climate change? It’s actually sad that Obama can do more for the nation with a simple selfie, than Trump did during his entire visit.
