Reebok has decided to make the dangerous play of taking a political stance, during one of the most divided political periods in our nation’s history. Reebok has created a flowchart that takes a stand against the misogynistic comments that President Trump made to French First Lady, Brigitte Macron, during his two day visit to France this past week.
Reebok’s flowchart visualizes in simple terms, how ridiculous and inappropriate President Trump’s comments were. The chart features the question, “when is it appropriate to say, ‘You’re in such good shape…beautiful’” along with funny scenarios and answers, including “Are you a world leader greeting the spouse of a head of state?” and “Are you in an elevator with a woman.” Reebok advises, “No.”
Social media is reacting well to Reebok’s chart, now calling the company the “shoe of the resistance.”
Reebok is owned by Adidas, Adidas being the largest sportswear manufacturer in Europe, and the second largest in the world. During Trump’s trip to France, he said to Brigitte Macron, “You know, you’re in such good shape,” and then he looked at her husband, Emmanuel Macron, and said, “Beautiful.”
