Trump Challenges His Secretary Of State Tillerson To Intelligence Test Over Being Called ‘Moron’ But He Already Lost

The President of the United States just told the world that he thinks he is smarter than his own Secretary of State, in response to something he claims never happened. Trump challenged Secretary of State Rex Tillerson to an “IQ test” while talking to a reporter at the White House, in an interview released today.

Trump disputed NBC New’s report that Tillerson called him a “f*cking moron” during a Pentagon meeting in July, a report that Tillerson didn’t outright deny. In the interview published today, Trump decided to attack Tillerson by saying he is smarter than Tillerson and would win an IQ test if they both took one.

“I think it’s fake news,” Trump said, “but if he did that, I guess we’ll have to compare IQ tests — and I can tell you who is going to win.” He also attacked Tillerson’s diplomatic work with North Korea. “He was wasting his time,” Trump said, “I’m not undermining, I think I’m actually strengthening authority.”

Trump may want to take an intelligence test to prove who is smarter, but his challenge in and of itself makes that pointless, because Trump already lost. First he denied that Tillerson called him a moron, then he admits that it was true, but then tries to leave himself an out by calling it “fake.” Not to mention the insanity of suggesting such a challenge. Can you imagine your boss calling you out in a public interview to test your intelligence against him/her? Pure insanity.
