Donald Trump is traveling to El Paso tonight to hold a rally in support of his border wall, but instead of it being a rally, it should really be a funeral, because Trump’s wall at this point is good and dead. Following other elected officials, California Governor Gavin Newsom is taking action that will severely undermine Trump’s option of declaring a national crisis to build a wall.
Governor Newsom is withdrawing all 360 of his national guard troops currently stationed at the U.S.-Mexico border, specifically to fight back against Trump. Governor Newsom is giving his State of the State address tomorrow where he will be criticizing Trump’s immigration policies and rhetoric. He will be announcing a new mission for his troops, in which they will not participate in “political theater.”

Trump, perhaps after hearing about Newsom’s plans, complained about some fake news he came up with this morning by claiming the Democratic Party doesn’t want criminals in jail, which isn’t a thing, “The Democrats do not want us to detain, or send back, criminal aliens! This is a brand new demand. Crazy!” Trump is playing dumb, he knows Democrats do not support his wall because he knows this is a fake crisis.

We now have enough elected officials and states that have withdrawn security from the border to prove that there is no crisis. New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham provided the blueprint earlier this week, when she ordered the withdrawal of the majority of the state’s National Guard troops from the border. An Arizona City Council overseeing a border town also sent orders directly to the Trump administration to remove the U.S. federal government’s installation of barbed wire along the border fence in the town.
Worst of all for Trump is that the Mayor of the town he is visiting tonight to hold his rally, completely denounced him yesterday. GOP El Paso Mayor Margo said that Trump is “misinformed” and that what he stated during the State of the Union is “not factually correct.”
How can Trump declare that there is a crisis at the border when two major border states have pulled resources from the border? California Governor Newsom pulling his troops has stopped Trump’s crisis before it even started because it boosts the evidence against there being a crisis to a level that will make any court case challenging Trump extremely strong.
