Conservative statue worshipers and Donald Trump are raging this morning after New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio announced that a clearly racist statue right in front of the American Museum of Natural History in New York City will be removed.
Literally only uninformed and racist people could be against taking the statue down, as it depicts Roosevelt towering over an Africa man and a Native American man in a way that is clearly designed to show dominance. The statue is below for reference.
Most of the reactions I've seen online:
"What! Why are they removing a statue of Teddy Roosevelt? That's just -"

This is a weird situation in which we basically had a racist statue staring right at us, right in front of our eyes. Racism is just so systemic in America that it can literally be out in broad day light like this, in front of one of the most visited museums in the world, and it still is not called out. But at least something is being done.
But how did Donald Trump react to the announcement that the statue will be removed? “Ridiculous, don’t do it!” Trump responded when seeing the statue will be removed. Shortly before this he also made another post in which he said, “A Democrat win in 2020 would be a tragic setback for African Americans!” So we know race was on his mind at this very moment.

As I’m sure you have heard, Trump’s Tulsa rally went worse for him than what his campaign thought the worst case scenario would be. Barely 6,000 people showed up, while they were expecting a minimum of 60,000. It is obvious Trump was upset about this because we have already watched him brag and obsess over crowd numbers before.
So it stands to reason that Trump took his frustration out about his failed rally last night on blacks in America. His two disgusting posts are the evidence. He might even feel like he needs to amp up the racism to get his arenas filled again. Who knows. But for sure it is bad enough that he opposes removing an unambiguously racist statue.
