Republican Senator Lindsey Graham had a discussion today with Atlantic editor in chief Jeffrey Goldberg about Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, in which he defended Kavanaugh and Trump, but attacked Democrats.
Graham literally argued that Trump’s attacks on Dr. Ford last night weren’t so bad and that “we’ve come a long way,” if all we have to deal with is Trump’s horrible behavior. Yeah. Graham argued this.
Graham’s defense of Kavanaugh completely backfired however, as after he tried to claim that Kavanaugh wasn’t treated correctly, he was loudly booed by the audience. “I thought [Ford] was handled respectfully. I thought Kavanaugh was treated like crap. [boos] Ya, well boo yourself!” Graham said, as seen in the footage below.

Graham made an attempt to be impartial during this sit down too, promising to hold a Supreme Court seat open until after the election, if there is a vacancy during Trump’s last term. “This may make you feel better but I really don’t care,” Graham said. “If a opening comes in the last year of President Trump’s term, and the primary process has started, we’ll wait until the next election.”
Graham has been acting infantile ever since his lashing out during Kavanaugh’s hearing made him look unhinged. The boos he received from the crowd should signal to him that he should stop acting so childish. He is clearly taking this entire situation way too personally and it is ruining his ability to attempt to be impartial.
