Donald Trump and his followers are going to have a hard time dealing with the reality we just witnessed at George Floyd’s funeral today. Long time civil rights activist and Reverend Al Sharpton delivered the eulogy for Floyd at the funeral and honestly just tore Trump to pieces in spectacular fashion.
There is not much that the GOP and Trumpers can say because Floyd’s family invited Sharpton to speak and fully condone his message. Sharpton celebrated the fact that what happened to Floyd is sparking change and progress, “All over the world I’ve seen grandchildren of slave masters tearing down slave master statues.”
What’s really going to drive Trumpers and the GOP crazy is that Sharpton is already a masterful speaker, but he went all out and used all his skills to call Trump pure “wickedness.” He called out the hypocrisy of Trump using St. John’s Church as a photo op.
“You take rubber bullets and tear gas, to clear out peaceful protesters, and then take a Bible and walk in front of a Church, and use a church as a prop. Wickedness in high places! You ain’t been walking across that street when the church didn’t have the boards up. You wasn’t holding up no bible when Aubrey was killed. When Taylor was killed. Wickedness in high places!” Sharpton said, as seen in the footage below, which is a must see.

“Wickedness in high places!” is simply perfection level messaging. It’s catchy and sticky, so expect to see people saying this a lot real soon. Sharpton’s words completely called out Trump’s hypocrisy and mocked him at the same time. We cannot understate how damaging it is for Trump to be called out for doing photo ops at George Floyd’s funeral.
