Shoppers are having a hard time finding Ivanka Trump’s new book, Women Who Work, at Barnes & Noble stores across the nation. Mystery vigilantes are messing around with her book’s displays by placing discount stickers and completely rearranging the displays with more appropriate selections.
The discounts are hilarious as new books never receive them. Obviously these book bandits have access to the actual Barnes & Noble discount stickers so they probably work there.
The best are the displays that have Ivanka’s books completely replaced with titles like, Adult Children of Emotionally Immature Parents and Toxic Parents: Overcoming Their Hurtful Legacy and Reclaiming Your Life, Disarming the Narcissist, and Children of the Self Absorbed.
Ivanka’s book has received reviews calling it “‘vapid’ at worst, ‘earnest’ at best, and ‘a strawberry milkshake of inspirational quotes.'” Girls Who Code founder Reshma Saujani also criticized Trump for mentioning her organization as a success story. “Don’t use my story in #WomenWhoWork unless you are going to stop being #complicit,” Saujani said in a tweet.
