Melania Trump Praised For UK State Visit Outfit, But Did She Get It From Princess Diana?

Donald Trump and Melania Trump met with Queen Elizabeth II at Buckingham Palace this morning, to begin the first day of Trump’s already controversial two-day state visit to England. Trump and Melania arrived by Marine One on the palace lawn and were welcomed by Prince Charles and his wife, Camilla. Since Melania is known for copying things, like Michelle Obama’s speeches, she is being accused of copying Princess Diana’s look too.

Upon greeting the Queen on the lawn, the Trump’s chose to greet the Queen with a handshake,? which goes against the standard suggested etiquette on the Royal Family?s official website, ?There are no obligatory codes of behavior when meeting the Queen or a member of the Royal Family, but many people wish to observe the traditional forms. For men this is a neck bow (from the head only) whilst women do a small curtsy.”

It’s no surprise that the Trump’s would refuse to bow, but something else possibly offensive was going on. Melania is being praised for the outfit she wore to meet the Queen, which was a dress by Dolce & Gabbana. Her outfit is suspiciously similar to outfits worn by both Princess Diana and now Duchess of Cornwall Meghan Markle, as seen below.

Melania’s look is also reminiscent of Meghan Markle?s outfit she wore for the Royal Ascot in June of last year.

“Melania Trump at the Palace. Did she deliberately try and look like Diana? Wearing a hat and suit Diana might have worn,” a UK outlet included in its report on this greeting. UK outfits are saying that Melania is “channelling one of Princess Diana’s stylish looks,” rather than saying she copied them, because Melania is known for suing for “libel” if you say anything remotely bad about her. Do you think she copied their outfits? Or did she just happen to look exactly like them?
