The New York Times’ bombshell investigation that revealed how the Trump family used illegal methods to avoid paying million of dollars in taxes, looks like it will actually bring justice against Donald Trump.
New York City mayor Bill de Blasio announced today that the city is doing everything in it’s power to “recoup” as much of the money Donald Trump, his father Fred Trump, and the Trump family, all worked together to not pay taxes on. In simple terms, NYC is going to be sending Donald Trump a large bill. “The city of New York is looking to recoup any money that Donald Trump owes the people of New York City, period,” de Blasio said.
This is on top of De Blasio’s Monday warning that Trump could face civil penalties over the instances of fraud outlined in the Times report. “It’s clear to me that there are real ramifications right now to what has been disclosed, either potential violations of law, or in cases where the statute of limitations has ended that there may be very serious civil penalties that can be applied by both the state and the city,” de Blasio said.
De Blasio made it known this morning on social media, that what Trump did is cheat the system to the detriment of America, “America doesn’t have enough money for veterans, kids + seniors because of rich people who cheat on their taxes like you @RealDonaldTrump.”

The New York state tax department has opened full investigation into the serious accusations of “outright fraud” revealed by the incredibly detailed report released yesterday. A spokesman from New York State Department of Taxation and Finance confirmed the investigation by email, which stated that, “The Tax Department is reviewing the allegations in the NYT article and is vigorously pursuing all appropriate avenues of investigation.”
