Donald Trump seems to have explicitly stated that although apparently him and his supporters “love black people,” he does not really consider them part of his team. Like usual, Trump is his own biggest enemy because he cannot keep his mouth shut, but it’s always nice to remove any doubt from our minds about who he is. We see through him.
Before departing the White House to travel to Florida to witness the planned SpaceX launch today, he was asked, “Mr. President, are you, with your week today, are you concerned you might be stoking more racial violence?” Let’s see if you can spot what’s wrong with his answer below.
“MAGA is ‘Make America Great Again.’ By the way, they love African-American people. They love black people. MAGA loves the black people. I heard that MAGA wanted to be there. A lot of MAGA was going there be there. I have no idea if that’s true or not but they love our country.”
Like, wait. What does this mean? It means that he does not consider black people to be a part of MAGA. That’s the only way this statement makes any kind of sense. Saying MAGA loves black people is implying that black people are a group separate from MAGA and not included within it. Footage is below for context.
President Trump: “MAGA loves black people.”
