Trump Admits Defeat By House Impeachment While Departing For London ‘it will never end’

Donald Trump stopped to take questions and make statements to reporters before departing the White House this morning to travel on Air Force One to the United Kingdom for the 70th anniversary celebration of NATO. Trump both complained to reporters and revealed that he has accepted the fact that House Democrats’ impeachment inquiry marches forward unimpeded by his attempts to stop it.

It will never end it, because they want to do what they want to do,” Trump said, referring to House Democrats during a rant about how a recent statement by Ukraine’s president somehow clears him of wrongdoing.

Trump also explained why he has decided not to participate in any way in the House Judiciary Committee’s first impeachment hearing, “The whole thing is a hoax, everybody knows it.”

Trump won’t send anyone to defend himself during the House’s impeachment hearings and he has just admitted that the inquiry will “never end.” Therefore, it is obvious that Trump has accepted defeat and no longer wants to even bother fighting back against the inquiry.  Perhaps he is saving energy for his Senate impeachment trial, but it doesn’t matter, because for now, Trump has given up.

His statements before leaving for London confirm the White House informing House Democrats on Sunday that it will not participate in the Judiciary Committee’s first impeachment hearing, “Under the current circumstances, we do not intend to participate in your Wednesday hearing,” White House Counsel Pat Cipollone wrote in a letter to Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler.

You can see how defeated Trump looks in the footage below that shows his statements he made before getting onto Air Force One.
