The WaPo reported yesterday that Donald Trump is truly starting to come to terms with his family’s crimes and thinks that Trump Jr. probably broke the law in 2016.
Trump has told people around him that he thinks Trump Jr. didn’t know he was breaking the law, but acknowledges that special counsel Robert Mueller might indict Trump Jr., after he finishes investigating Trump Jr. for his role in setting up the June 2016 meeting in Trump Tower with the Russians and Trump campaign officials.
Trump tried to fight back against this report Sunday morning, which based off Trump’s past claims of fake news, means the report is almost certainly true. But even worse, is that he admitted that Trump Jr. set up the meeting to acquire information on Hillary Clinton. So in other words, Trump literally admitted that his campaign colluded with the Russians. What he said is below.
“Fake News reporting, a complete fabrication, that I am concerned about the meeting my wonderful son, Donald, had in Trump Tower. This was a meeting to get information on an opponent, totally legal and done all the time in politics – and it went nowhere. I did not know about it!” Trump said.

Important to note here is that just because Donald Trump claims something is legal, does not mean it is. The fact that we even have to discuss whether the meeting was legal, proves that it was something very wrong. I will let the lawyers examine the legality of what Trump just admitted here, but for sure, this statement is 100% admission by Trump, for the first time, that his campaign knowingly worked to obtain incriminating information on Hillary Clinton from Russian operatives, which is collusion by definition.
