We all knew Mexico was never going to pay for the wall, but it is still satisfying watching Donald Trump have to admit the truth on camera, which is that his biggest campaign promise to make Mexico pay for the wall was nothing but a gigantic lie. This could go down in history as being one of the worst lies ever delivered on a campaign trail.
“When during the campaign, I would say Mexico is going to pay for it. Obviously I never said this and never meant, they were going to write out a check,” Trump said, before leaving the White House for Texas this morning. The circle is now complete and Trump has officially destroyed himself with this lie. You can see his comments in the footage below.

To quickly debunk this, you can check this 2016 Trump campaign memo where Trump claimed Mexico will make a “onetime payment of $5-$10 billion” for the wall. Buckle up your seat belts though folks, because Trump just proved that he doesn’t really care about getting elected by admitting this and that he is a true madman. This is far from over because Trump strongly implied that he is going to go forward with declaring a national security to build his wall.
