Trump Runs Into Hiding After Flynn Pleads Guilty & Agrees To Work With Mueller Against Him

This morning, President Trump learned that his former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn has been charged with lying to the FBI while watching the news. For weeks now, Trump has reportedly been experiencing anxiety over signs that Flynn has flipped on him and remarked that Flynn has “turned” on him.

Trump’s anxiety has taken over his ability to function today, as the the White House canceled a planned media event as Trump goes into hiding. Trump welcomed Libyan prime minister Fayez al-Sarraj at the White House and was scheduled to be recorded speaking with him by the press, followed by a typical question and answer session.

Reporters had been lined up outside the Oval Office, waiting to enter the room, when White House staffers brought them back into the press room, where they were told that the media event would not happen. CBS News White House correspondent Mark Knoller noted, “This spares Pres Trump from facing shouted press pool questions about the Flynn guilty plea and what it means for the larger investigation.”
