It’s not even 9:00 a.m. and Donald Trump has decided one of the first things he needs to do today is continue a fight he started with New York’s Governor Andrew Cuomo. Trump’s attack from this morning does not even make basic logical sense.
Trump admitted that Governor Cuomo just wants fair treatment from the federal government for all impacted states, so it’s unclear what exactly Trump even has a problem with. But the most eye opening part of Trump’s attack this morning, is that he told Governor Cuomo to “keep politics out of it.” Can you believe that!? Trump of all people is saying to keep politics out of it.
“Cuomo wants ?all states to be treated the same.? But all states aren?t the same. Some are being hit hard by the Chinese Virus, some are being hit practically not at all. New York is a very big ?hotspot?, West Virginia has, thus far, zero cases. Andrew, keep politics out of it….” Trump posted this morning.

This puts New Yorkers in danger because when Trump attacks you, you are kind of forced to respond. Not only that, but his trolls follow too. It’s just one big distraction and time wasting situation. Trump has convinced legions of his followers that the virus is a media created hoax and so he probably thinks he needs to be attacking Governor Cuomo. Instead of working together, Trump is literally fighting against the Governor of one of the most impacted states.
This drama was all started yesterday by Trump after he said, “Cuomo of New York has to ‘do more.'” Even Trump knew he went too far and he deleted the post. Cuomo eventually responded and said, “Happy to do your job, too. Just give me control of the Army Corps of Engineers and I?ll take it from there.”
Happy to do your job, too.
