U.S. Ambassador To The UN Nikki Haley Resigns & Hints At Who Will Be Replacing Her

Nikki Haley reportedly surprised the Trump administration today, after she abruptly resigned as U.S. ambassador to the United Nations. Trump claimed in a joint announcement with her in the Oval Office, that she told him she was leaving 6 months ago because she wants to “take a break” from public service.

Since this administration lies so much, we can’t know exactly why she is leaving, but we can start to look forward as to who will replace her, especially because we have seen plenty of hints in the past and today of who might replace her if she resigned.

But that’s where it gets highly concerning, because Trump has floated the idea of his daughter Ivanka serving as US ambassador to the United Nations in the past. During her joint conference with Trump this morning, Haley praised Ivanka and her husband Jared as much as she could. “I can’t say enough good things about Jared and Ivanka,” Haley said, adding that, “Jared is such a hidden genius that no one understands.”

So not only is it possible that Ivanka could become the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, but it could also be Jared. Why else is Haley going out of her way to praise him so much? You can see her comments in the footage below.

This extreme nepotism has been a concern for some time. Back in November of last year, the New York Times reported that Ivanka and Jared considered a scenario “in which Ms. Trump could replace Nikki R. Haley as ambassador to the United Nations if Ms. Haley replaced Secretary of State Rex W. Tillerson.”

They’ve been thinking about doing this for nearly a year and now with Haley resigning, one of them has a chance to become U.S. ambassador. Jared and Ivanka were both present in the Oval Office for Haley’s resignation announcement, so the circumstantial evidence here points towards a reasonable possibility that we will see one of them as ambassador.
